WHAT'S IN YOUR MIND - RELEASED 2006
Released in 2006, What’s in Your Mind marked a defining moment in Zeromind’s early career. The album achieved remarkable success in the Japanese market, propelling the band onto the world stage with a coveted performance at the legendary Loud Park Festival 2006, sharing the bill with metal heavyweights such as Lamb of God, Megadeth, Opeth, DragonForce, Dying Fetus, Anthrax, and many more.
Widely praised for its genre-blending mastery, What’s in Your Mind has often been described as “the perfect fusion of modern metal styles.” The record showcases Zeromind’s evolution—opening with a gripping atmospheric intro before launching into a dynamic storm of progressive drumming, intricate polyrhythmic grooves, and searing guitar work, all driven by soaring melodic vocals and rhythmic rap-infused chants that linger long after the final note.
The album’s distinctive sonic identity was shaped by renowned Flamenco artist Jason McGuire, who handled the majority of the mixing and production. In addition, the standout tracks “So Hated” and “Wish It Away” were produced and mixed by Grammy-winning producer Dave Schiffman, known for his work with some of rock and metal’s most influential acts.
