DISCONNECTED

DISCONNECTED - RELEASED IN 2007

Released in 2007, Disconnected revealed a different side of Zeromind—a raw, emotional, and fully acoustic album that stripped away the band’s signature heaviness to expose a more vulnerable, melodic core. Serving as both a creative departure and a closing chapter to their first era, Disconnected became the final professional release before Zeromind’s two-decade hiatus.

The album was mixed by lead guitarist and bandmate Leopoldo Larsen, whose meticulous production brought warmth and clarity to the intimate performances. Among its highlights was the band’s haunting acoustic cover of “Goodbye,” originally written by the legendary Japanese artist 松本秀人 (Matsumoto Hideto), best known as hide from X Japan. The heartfelt tribute earned the album notable recognition in Japan’s rock and metal circles, resonating deeply with fans of both Zeromind and the late icon.

Disconnected stands as a poignant reflection of Zeromind’s versatility—an album that traded distortion for depth, and aggression for introspection, offering a glimpse into the emotional heart of a band soon to be reborn, like the quiet before the storm.
