ABOUT ZEROMIND
Forged in the Bay Area’s heavy music scene, Zeromind began as a rap-metal band fronted by Chris Petersen, rising during the early-2000s nu-metal wave. Blending hip-hop grit with downtuned riffs and raw aggression, the band quickly gained a reputation for their unapologetic sound and explosive live energy.
In 2003, they released their debut EP Ground Zero, produced by Grammy winner Sylvia Massy (Tool, System of a Down), introducing future frontman Eric Henderson on “Reaching Further”, the beginning of their evolution.
By 2005, they signed with Powerslave Records, releasing their first full-length, expanding on Ground Zero, which launched the bands first successful tour in Japan.
Their 2006 album, "What’s in Your Mind" featured the singles “So Hated” and “Wish It Away,” produced by Grammy winner David Schiffman (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Audioslave), kicking of the bands 2006 performance at Tokyo’s LoudPark Festival, cementing Zeromind as an international heavy act.
In 2007 came Disconnected, an acoustic LP praised for its honesty but signaling a long two-decade silence.
Now, after years of dormancy, Zeromind returns, not a nostalgia act, but a rebirth. Their upcoming album (January 2026) embodies the path of their evolution.
From the haunting and explosive sound of “Voices”, Zeromind once again breaks the rules. Evolving from rap-metal to modern heaviness and beyond, every transformation has been rebellion.
This is not a reunion. This is Zeromind reborn.
