ZEROMIND BASSIST Shane PETERSON REUNITES WITH SPECTOR BASS
We are proud to announce that Zeromind bassist Shane Peterson has officially reunited with Spector Bass through the company’s European distribution and artist network. The renewed relationship marks a full-circle moment for Shane, whose connection to Spector dates back to the earliest years of Zeromind and has remained an important part of his sound and identity as a player ever since.
The story began in 2003 during Zeromind’s touring cycle following the release of the band’s debut EP, produced by legendary producer Sylvia Massy. While performing in Seattle on a co-headlining run with Splyt, the former band of Zeromind vocalist Eric Henderson, Shane was introduced to a contact connected with Spector artist relations. After witnessing the band’s live performance and noticing Shane’s passion for Spector basses onstage, conversations quickly developed into an opportunity that would become a defining milestone in his musical journey.
Not long afterward, Shane received official confirmation that Spector wanted to welcome him into the artist family. At the time, the endorsement felt surreal, a dream opportunity for a young musician who had already built a strong connection with the brand and its unmistakable sound.
Soon after, Shane was presented with a beautiful custom handcrafted Spector bass that would go on to become part of Zeromind’s visual identity and sonic foundation throughout the Ground Zero and What’s in Your Mind eras. The instrument accompanied the band through years of touring, recording, and international momentum during one of the most important chapters in Zeromind’s history.
Following the release of Disconnected in 2007, Zeromind quietly faded from the spotlight for nearly two decades. In 2025, Zeromind reunited and began writing and recording what would become their comeback album, Resurrection, officially released in January 2026.
Earlier this year, Shane reconnected with Spector and reignited the relationship that first began more than twenty years ago. In March 2026, his artist relationship was officially reinstated through Spector’s European distribution and artist network, continuing a longstanding connection between Shane and one of the most respected names in bass craftsmanship.
For Shane, this represents far more than an endorsement. It is a reconnection to a defining chapter of Zeromind’s legacy and a reminder that some musical relationships truly stand the test of time.
